The San Francisco 49ers announced on Monday they have waived LB Kiko Alonso with a failed physical designation and placed DL D.J. Jones and DL Jordan Willis on the COVID-19 list.
Alonso, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Bills back in 2013. The Bills traded to the Eagles in return for RB LeSean McCoy back in 2015.
From there, Alonso was traded to the Dolphins along with Byron Maxwell back in 2016 in return for a first-round pick. Miami later traded him to the Saints for OLB Vince Biegel at the start of the 2019 season.

He also gets $4.7 million in incentives that is dependent on playing time and being active for 10 or more games.

Jones is in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.
In 2020, Jones has appeared in 10 games for the 49ers and recorded 14 tackles, two sacks and a pass defense.
Willis, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2017. Willis was in the third year of his four-year, $3.61 million contract when the Bengals waived him last September.
Willis was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets and later traded to the 49ers last month. He’s owed a base salary of $865,250 for the 2020 season and will be an unrestricted free agent next year.
In 2020, Willis has appeared in five games for the Jets and 49ers and recorded eight tackles, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
