Adam Caplan is now reporting that the 49ers’ plans to waive C Nick Easton are on hold, and they’re instead in the process of trying to trade him to another team.

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the 49ers are placing C Nick Easton on waivers Tuesday.
Easton, 23, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard that has played very well during the preseason. In fact, Easton ranked as the No. 1 overall center for the 2015 preseason, according to Pro Football Focus.
Baltimore elected to trade Easton to the 49ers in exchange for a conditional seventh-round draft pick.
However, Easton hasn’t been active for a single game this season.
