Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the San Francisco 49ers brought inย WR/KR Trindon Holliday and RBย David Fluellen for workouts on Tuesday.
Holliday was justย waived from the Buccaneers’ย injured reserve early last week, so this is his first reported opportunity since he became available.
Holliday, 28, signed on with the Buccaneers last month, but his stay was obviously short lived.ย During the offseason, heย signed a one-year deal worth $700,000 with the Giants, but wound up beingย placed onย injured reserve.
Holliday wasย an extremely productive kick returner forย the Broncos a few years ago as he totaledย 1,327 kick return yards,ย 752 punt return yards and four touchdowns over the course of two years in Denver.
However, he’s had three fumbles and hasn’t been much of aย contributor on the offensive side of the ball. Pro Football Focusย had him rated as the No. 12 kick returner in the league last year.
