Eric Branch of SFGate.com reports that the 49ers brought in veteran OL J’Marcus Webb for a tryout on Monday.
Webb, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bears back in 2010. He spent three years in Chicago before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Vikings at the start of the 2013 season.
Webb briefly joined the Chiefs before returning to the Vikings and eventually signing a one-year deal with the Raiders last April. The Seahawks elected to sign Webb to a two-year, $6 contract that included $2.45 million guaranteed as an unrestricted free agent this past March before cutting him loose close to a month ago.
In 2016, Webb has been active for nine games and has played a total of 223 snaps.
