Matt Borrows of the Sacramento Bee writes that WR Josh Morgan is willing to test the free agent market before approaching the 49ers about a possible extension.
Morgan’s 2011 season ended in a pretty disappointing way as he wound up breaking his leg during garbage time of a regular season game. Before the injury, Morgan was putting together a solid season for the team and their lack of depth at the position should help his chances of returning.
The Associated Press reports that he has begun sprinting and should be back at full speed before the start of OTA’s.
