The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday that they’ve signed OLB Josh Smith to a futures contract for the 2020 season.
The Titans have signed 11 players to futures deals including:
- QB Logan Woodside
- DE Amani Bledsoe
- RB Dalyn Dawkins
- LB Nigel Harris
- TE Parker Hesse
- C Daniel Munyer
- DB Kareem Orr
- OL David Quessenberry
- WR Trevion Thompson
- RB Shaun Wilson
- OLB Josh Smith
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Smith, 22, took part in the Titans’ rookie minicamp last year. Tennessee elected to sign Smith to the roster.
However, the Titans waived Smith an injury designation during the preseason and he later reverted to injured reserve. Tennesse waived him with an injury settlement and he later joined their practice squad.
During his four-year college career, Smith recorded 92 total tackles, six sacks, one forced fumble and four pass defenses in 30 career games.
