“A Lot Of Teams” Have Already Reached Out To LB James Laurinaitis

Former Rams LB James Laurinaitis mentioned during an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio that his agent, Tom Condon, has told him “a lot of teams” have already reached to him since the linebacker was cut by the Rams a few days ago.

However, Laurinaitis added that they should know more regarding his options a week after the combine.

Laurinaitis said that he grew up as a Vikings’ fan, but is open to signing with any team in free agency.

The Rams elected to free up around $23 million in cap space when they announced the release of Laurinaitis, DE Chris Long and TE Jared Cook.

Laurinaitis, 29, was entering the fifth year of his six-year, $42.12 million contract that and would have made a base salary of $5.775 million for the 2016 season when he was released last week.

In 2015, Laurinaitis appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 109 tackles, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble, a pass defense and a safety.

We’ll have more regarding which teams are interested in Laurinaitis as the news is available.
