AFC East Notes: Bills, Dolphins, Jets

Bills

Bills HC Sean McDermott believes a “change of scenery” was good for WR Zay Jones, who Buffalo traded to the Raiders.

“We wish him the best. We know he’s going to do good things in Oakland. Sometimes, a change in scenery is a good thing,” said McDermott, via Marcel Louis-Jacques.

Dolphins

  • Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald mentions that the Dolphins could make WR DeVante Parker available for trade should a contending team lose a receiver to injury. However, Jackson says there’s no indication right now that Parker is available for trade.
  • Jackson adds that Miami has shown no interest in trading cornerback Xavien Howard.
  • The expectation is that the Dolphins will recoup a third- or fourth-round pick for losing RT Ja’Wuan James in free agency and either a fifth- or sixth-round pick for DE Cameron Wake
  • Dolphins signed CB Jayson Stanley to their practice squad.

Jets

  • Jets HC Adam Gase said LB C.J. Mosley (groin) will do individual drills on Wednesday. (Brian Costello)
  • Gase added that Mosely is “minute to minute” and the team will determine his availability for Week 7 based on tomorrow’s individual workout. (Brian Costello)
  • Jets DT Steve McLendon is currently in the NFL’s concussion protocol. (Manish Mehta)
  • Jets signed LB Frankie Luvu to their practice squad.
