Bills
-
Joe Buscaglia writes that Panthers WR Devin Funchess could make sense as a free agent target for the Bills this offseason.
-
Buscaglia mentions that the Panthers have obvious ties to Funchess with Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane both coming over from Carolina. But beyond that, Funchess would give the Bills something they don’t currently have at receiver with his ability to high point the ball.
Dolphins
The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson breaks down Miami’s quarterback options in free agency into three categories.
- The old men: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh McCown, Matt Cassel and Brandon Weeden.
- Former starters: Tyrod Taylor, Sam Bradford, Geno Smith, Robert Griffin III, Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian.
- Journeymen: Joe Webb, Josh Johnson, Sean Mannion, Tom Savage, Taylor Heinicke and Brett Hundley.
- Jackson says the Dolphins will try to straddle the line of not playing themselves out of a high 2020 draft pick without being too obvious about tanking.
- The Palm Beach Post’s Joe Schad thinks the Dolphins would consider drafting LSU CB Greedy Williams if he falls to their pick at No. 13.
Jets
-
Ian Rapoport reports that the Jets have entered the mix for Steelers WR Antonio Brown as well.
- Manish Mehta confirms that the Jets have reached out to the Steelers about Brown, but don’t have serious interest in him.
