Bengals
- Per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Bengals QB Joe Burrow said he expected to be the starter before the news broke about the team releasing Andy Dalton: โThatโs my goal. Iโm going to work really hard to get there. That first snap of training camp Iโm going to walk into that huddle super confident.โ
- NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reveals Dalton asked to be released and the team obliged.
- According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, a Bengals source said the team had been unsuccessful so far in shopping Dalton for a trade: “Tried to find a trade partner. Andy requested opportunity to see what’s out there and we obliged. He’s meant a lot to us, so we wish him the best.”
- The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. reports that after the Bears traded for Nick Foles, there was never a market for Dalton. Cincinnati had some conversations but they never reached the level of discussing compensation.
- Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer says again that Cincinnati tried to trade Dalton to the Jaguars but Jacksonville’s interest was limited, potentially due to his salary.
- Vikings undrafted free agent CB Nevelle Clarke said he turned down an offer from the Bengals to sign in Minnesota. (Courtney Cronin)

- According to Over The Cap’s Nick Korte, the Ravens are projected to receive a fifth-round compensatory pick in 2021.
- Ravens signed OL Trystan Colon-Castillo, QB Tyler Huntley and K Nick Vogel. (NFLTR)
Steelers
- According to Over The Cap’s Nick Korte, the Steelers are projected to receive fourth and fifth-round compensatory picks in 2021.
- The Steelers also had an offer out for Vikings undrafted free agent CB Nevelle Clarke, but he chose Minnesota. (Darren Wolfson)
