AFC North Notes: Browns, Ravens, Steelers

Browns

Browns DE Myles Garrett says he has no plans to change how he players after being flagged for unnecessary roughness against the quarterback three times this season.

If I’m going to go out there and make some plays, make a lot of plays and at the backend I might get an unnecessary roughness every three or four games, I don’t want to make it a habit, it’s not something I want to do, but if that’s what happens and I’m still making big plays consistently, I guess that’s my toll,” said Garrett, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

“I’m still going to play football the same way.”

Regarding the hit on Jets QB Trevor Siemian, Garrett says he didn’t intentionally land on him.

“I don’t feel like I intentionally landed on the guy or hit him late,” Garrett said. “Only thing I did wrong that game was jumping offsides twice, that’s the main point I can take from that, but strike zone, I looked at it, I hit him right in the chest, he went down, he tried to plant his foot and when he planted his foot, his knee went up, went into me and I fell right on top of him, there’s nothing much I can do about that.”

Ravens

  • The Ravens listed DT Brandon Williams as questionable for Week 4 due to a knee injury.
  • Jamison Hensley points out that Ravens’ fifth-round DT Daylon Mack will likely make his NFL debut in Week 4 if Williams is unable to play.
  • Ravens placed LB Otaro Alaka on injured reserve. (NFLTR)
