AFC Notes: Bengals, Broncos, Raiders

Bengals

Broncos

  • Albert Breer writes that linebacker could be a position to watch for the Broncos at No. 10 and mentions LSU’s Devin White or Michigan’s Devin Bush as two possibilities.
  • Breer questions whether LSU CB Greedy Williams or Georgia CB DeAndre Baker are at the level where taking them that highly would make sense for Denver.
  • According to Mike Klis, the members of the Broncos’ staff attended Ohio State’s Pro Day, but GM John Elway and new HC Vic Fangio were not present.
  • According to Aaron Wilson, CB Bryce Callahan‘s contract has $10 million guaranteed, a $4 million signing bonus, base salaries of $2.5 million, $3 million and $6.5 million, a $3.5 million roster bonus due the second day of the 2020 league year, and $31,250 per-game active roster bonuses each year of the deal.

Raiders

Raiders DC Paul Guenther said he has a “close relationship” with recently signed LB Vontaze Burfict.

It’s just been a close relationship. I know his kids. I know his wife. We go out to dinner,” said Guenther, via Michael Gehlken

As for his past altercations with Antonio Brown, Burfict said everything is “positive” and will approach him as a teammate.

We’re on the same team. It’s one goal. It’s all positive, man,” said Burfict, via Gehlken. “He’s a great player. … I’m going to approach him just like I do all my other teammates. … There’s nothing negative here. We’re on the same team. We’re trying to win a championship here.”

  • According to Michael Gehlken, the Raiders “anticipated” veteran TE Jared Cook to sign elsewhere this offseason.
  • Gehlken expects the Raiders to “speak highly” of current TE Darren Waller, while pointing out that they are “very open” to drafting a tight end.
