AFC Notes: Browns, Texans, Titans

Browns

  • ESPN’s Jake Trotter writes the Browns tried to restructure LB Christian Kirksey‘s contract before releasing him on Tuesday.
  • NBC Sports’ Matt Maiocco writes the Browns and new DC Joe Woods, San Francisco’s former secondary coach, could be the one team that might poach DE Ronald Blair from the 49ers.

Texans

  • Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans would like to re-sign CB Bradley Roby, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
  • Industry sources tell Wilson that Roby could be seeking a contract worth anywhere from $10.5 million to $12 million.
  • According to ESPN’s John Keim, a source said it would be shocking if the Texans weren’t involved again in a potential trade for Redskins LT Trent Williams, though it would necessitate moving OT Laremy Tunsil to the right side and paying both huge contracts.

Titans

  • Jim Wyatt of the official team website says he feels pretty confident RB Derrick Henry will be on the Titans roster in 2020.
