AFC Notes: Colts, Jets, Texans

Colts

Colts backup QB Jacoby Brissett made it clear that he wants to be a starter in the NFL.

โ€œI want to be a starter in this league,โ€ Brissett said, via Mike Chappell of Fox 59. โ€œIf thatโ€™s what youโ€™re asking me, yeah, I want to be a starter in this league.โ€

โ€œEverybody in this room wants to be a starter,โ€ Brissett added. โ€œNobody wants to be a backup.โ€

Colts GM Chris Ballard said recently that he would need to be blown away by an offer to trade Brissett.

Regarding Ballardโ€™s comments, Brissett said he knows he could spend another year in Indianapolis.

โ€œI canโ€™t complain about anything. Iโ€™m blessed,โ€ Brissett said. โ€œIโ€™ve got a good job. I pay my bills. My familyโ€™s good. Iโ€™m good.

โ€œTo think of something that might happen in the near future would be stupid to be honest with you. Iโ€™m not going to do that.โ€
