AFC Notes: Marcus Mariota, Raiders, & Steelers

Marcus Mariota

Tom Pelissero of USA Today has the contract details for Titans first-round pick Marcus Mariota’s rookie contract.

• According to Pelissero, Mariota’s deal doesn’t include any offset language for his roster bonuses of around $6 million from 2016 to 2018.
• Mariota receives bonuses of $1,010,635 in 2016, $2,021,270 in 2017 and $3,031,905 in 2018 on the fifth day of training camp each year, per Pelissero.
• In total, Pelissero notes that the Titans paid Mariota a $15,870,164 signing bonus, which leaves the only offsets in his entire four-year, $24,213,974 guaranteed deal for his base salaries totaling $2.28 million,

Raiders

• Bill Williamson of ESPN projects Latavius Murray to win the Raiders staring running back this summer.
• Williamson also has third-round TE Clive Walford beating out Mychal Rivera for the starting tight end job.
• The Raiders’ offensive line is projected to be: LT Donald Penn, LG Gabe Jackson, C Rodney Hudson, RG J’Marcus Webb, RT Menelik Watson.
• Williamson has second-round DE Mario Edwards Jr listed as a starter.

Steelers

• The Steelers placed C Maurkice Pouncey and OT Mike Adams on the active/PUP list on Saturday. (Albert Breer)
• Pittsburgh also placed CB Senquez Golson and QB Bruce Gradkowski on the active/PUP list on Saturday.
