AFC South Notes: Colts, Jaguars, Texans, Titans

Colts

Jaguars

Jaguars QB Cody Kessler says he’s “very excited” to get the opportunity to start in Week 13.

“As a competitor, I am excited,” Kessler said, via Jacksonville.com. “It is tough to get opportunities in this league. To have one, I am very excited. We have had a close quarterback room, so when things happen like that it is part of the business, but at the same time it is a little rough. Just moving forward on this side. It is a great opportunity for me this week. Hoping to get the guys to rally around me and turn this thing around. I am really looking forward to it.”

Texans

Texans RB D’Onta Foreman (Achilles) said he is feeling “great” and “ready to go.” Foreman was placed on the PUP list at the start of the season.

I feel good, I feel great,” Foreman said, via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “I’m ready to go. I’ve been practicing. I feel very explosive. I’m cutting really good. I feel ready to go.”

Titans

  • Titans HC Mike Vrabel said CB Malcolm Butler (concussion) looked good today and making progress. The plan is for Butler to see the neurologist on Thursday as part of the concussion protocol. (Turron Davenport)
  • Titans DC Dean Pees says his medical issue won’t be resolved before the season is over and he plans to “suck it up” like he asks players to do. (Turron Davenport)
