AFC South Notes: Colts, Jaguars, Texans, Titans

Colts

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton, who has missed three weeks due to a calf injury, said he does not need to practice this week in order to play in Thursday’s game.

“I don’t need practice,” Hilton said, via Kevin Bowen of 1075TheFan. “It’s how my body feels. If I feel good and all the boxes are checked, then I go. If 3 of the 4 boxes are checked, then I don’t go. So all 4 have to be checked for me to play.”

Hilton called his calf injury a “freak accident” that he suffered while running a route in practice.

Freak accident,” Hilton said. “I was just running a route like I normally would. I ran it and (the turf) got me. I thought my season was over.”

Jaguars

Texans

Texans QB Deshaun Watson said they hope to get WR Keke Coutee‘s confidence up in the coming weeks.

“It’s always good to get Keke out there and get his confidence back up. He’s a great football player and teammate. We just want to make sure he stays encouraged and that’s what we’ve been doing,” said Watson, via Aaron Wilson.
