Colts
- Per the Herald Bulletin’s George Bremer, Colts WR T.Y. Hilton said his calf is feeling “way better” and he believes he has a chance to play again this season, though potentially not this week.
- Hilton said shutting it down with the Colts unlikely to make the playoffs was not a consideration: โI would never quit on my team. I signed up for 16 games. Some guys may shut it down and call it quits. I donโt do that.โ (Mike Wells)
- Colts WR Dontrelle Inman clarified his deal was just through the rest of the season. (Bremer)
- Spotrac’s Michael Ginnitti identifies Colts LT Anthony Castonzo as the team’s top extension candidate this offseason and someone who will likely sign for $16 million a season.
- Ginnitti points out the Colts could also move on from DE Margus Hunt who hasn’t exactly justified his $4 million cap hit going forward.
Jaguars
- Spotrac’s Michael Ginnitti identifies DE Yannick Ngakoue as the top extension candidate for the Jaguars this offseason.
- He adds it’s almost certain Jacksonville will clear DT Marcell Dareus‘ $22.5 million cap hit and take on $2.5 million in dead money.
- Jaguars claimed LB Preston Brown off waivers from the Raiders. (NFLTR)
- Jaguars placed LB Quincy Williams on injured reserve.
Texans
- Spotrac’s Michael Ginnitti identifies a number of extension candidates for the Texans this offseason, including QB Deshaun Watson, LT Laremy Tunsil and DT D.J. Reader.
- Ginnitti adds the Texans will likely release CB Vernon Hargreaves before his $9.9 million fifth-year option becomes guaranteed on March 18th.
Titans
- Accounting for the rising cap, Spotrac’s Michael Ginnitti says the Titans could use the Jaguars’ free-agent deal for QB Nick Foles (Four years, $88 million, $50.125 million guaranteed) as a potential framework for their offer to QB Ryan Tannehill.
- Given that Titans TE Delanie Walker has ended the past two seasons on injured reserve, Ginnitti writes it makes sense to release the 36-year-old tight end for $6.7 million in cap savings.
