Per the Herald Bulletin’s George Bremer, Colts WR T.Y. Hilton said his calf is feeling “way better” and he believes he has a chance to play again this season, though potentially not this week.
Hilton said shutting it down with the Colts unlikely to make the playoffs was not a consideration: “I would never quit on my team. I signed up for 16 games. Some guys may shut it down and call it quits. I don’t do that.” (Mike Wells)
Ginnitti adds the Texans will likely release CB Vernon Hargreaves before his $9.9 million fifth-year option becomes guaranteed on March 18th.
Accounting for the rising cap, Spotrac’s Michael Ginnitti says the Titans could use the Jaguars’ free-agent deal for QB Nick Foles (Four years, $88 million, $50.125 million guaranteed) as a potential framework for their offer to QB Ryan Tannehill.
Given that Titans TE Delanie Walker has ended the past two seasons on injured reserve, Ginnitti writes it makes sense to release the 36-year-old tight end for $6.7 million in cap savings.
