Broncos

Broncos rookie QB Drew Lock tells TMZ Sports that Joe Flacco has “taught [him] a lot so far.”

“He’s taught me a lot so far,” Lock said. “He’s dealing with trying to win football games, I’m dealing with trying to learn. We’re in the same quarterback room. He’s been great to me.”

• Broncos DL Shelby Harris says he’s hoping to sign a long-term extension to remain in Denver: “That’s every man’s dream. I would love a multi-year deal here, but the way that works, you have to focus on this year, go out and play.” (Denver Post)

Chargers

• Veteran LB Brandon Marshall said that the Chargers expressed interest early in free agency before his market went quiet. (Ryan O’Halloran)

Raiders

Veteran LB Brandon Marshall mentioned that the Raiders sold him on the move to Las Vegas, even though he only signed a one-year deal with the team. 

“They said they only had a one-year deal for me, but they really sold me on Vegas,” Marshall said, via Nicki Jhabvala of the Athletic. “They said, ‘Look, we want you to help us plant the flag in Las Vegas. We feel like you’re a leader, and we need leaders on the defense, we need alphas on the defense.’ That’s what Jon Gruden said, so that kind of made me feel good. It’s funny because when I went there, they showed me the whole model of the Vegas stadium. So I was like, ‘OK, this is their selling point for me.’ I’m not sure about everybody else, but for me, they knew, ‘Let’s talk to Brandon about Vegas.’ And it worked.”
