Martavis Bryant

Raiders HC Jon Gruden says that WR Martavis Bryant is in a โ€œgood place right nowโ€ and theyโ€™re hoping he can help them stretch the field.

โ€œHeโ€™s a guy who has proven he can go up and get the deep ball in contested situations,โ€ Gruden said, via NBC Sports Bay Area. โ€œHe can run away from you. He can make you miss. He can make big plays down the field. Weโ€™re hoping we can bottle up where he is now. Heโ€™s in a great place. He has a great state of mind. Weโ€™ll see what happens.โ€

  • Regarding the reports of a possible suspension, Bryant said: โ€œItโ€™s not bugging me. But I donโ€™t have control over that. I donโ€™t want to really discuss that.โ€ (Michael Gehlken)
  • Bryant admitted that he was very surprised that the Raiders waived him, but he says heโ€™s โ€œready to goโ€ for Week 2. (Michael Gehlken)
