Andre Carter Looking For A Long-Term Contract From The Patriots?

Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports that free agent DE Andre Carter is looking for a long-term contract in the range of three-to-four years from the New England Patriots.

Carter has made it known that he would prefer to return to the Patriots this season, rather shop around for a new opportunity, but the fact that heโ€™s seeking a multi-year contract could be an inhibiting factor. New England is reportedly willing to offer him a similar contract to the one he signed with them last year, which was a one-year deal worth $2.75 million.

Carter, 33, is coming off of quad injury that cost him the opportunity to participate in the teamโ€™s playoff run last season. It would really be surprising to see him secure anything better than a one-year deal, as he figures to be an obvious candidate to start the season on the PUP list.
