Antonio Callaway Loses Appeal, Suspended 10 Games

Adam Schefter reports that former Browns WR Antonio Callaway lost his appeal and now will be suspended for the next 10 games for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.

Callaway was benched for Sunday’s game against the Bills for disciplinary reasons. Before that, he served his four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy before being activated last month.

The Browns elected to waive Callaway on Thursday.

Callaway, 22, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2018. He agreed to a four-year, $3,177,856 contract that included a $717,856 signing bonus and stands to make a base salary of $570,000 for the 2019 season.

In 2019, Callaway has appeared in four games and caught eight passes for 89 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
