The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that CB Aqib Talib will be placed on I.R. and will be replaced by Jovan Haye.
Considering the tumultuous year that Talib has dealt with it’s fair to wonder whether or not he’ll be returning to the Buc’s next season.
Talib is under contract for $1.85 million next but faces a court date in March that could force him to miss time. Sweeping changes could be coming for the teams coaching staff which should have an impact on the teams willingness to give Talib another chance.
Tampa needs help in the secondary so cutting their best player doesn’t seem like the best idea but given the circumstances it’s certainly justifiable.
