Arizona Cardinals RB Ryan Williams On The Mend

Speaking to the Arizona Cardinals’ official website, running back Ryan Williams said that he is running and making cuts on his surgically repaired right knee.

“I am running and cutting and doing things I didn’t think I’d be doing this early. I’m not worried about it,” Williams said. “I kind of feel like the most anticipated player of the year, and (fans) haven’t even seen anything but a couple weeks of training camp.”

Williams, a second-round draft pick in 2011, had surgery on August 22 to repair a torn patella tendon, as well as meniscus damage. Interestingly, the Cardinals have yet to add to their RB depth chart this offseason, so it looks like they believe Williams will be ready to go come training camp.
