Charlie Campbell of Pewter Report breaks down LB Barrett Ruud’s chances of returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season. Campbell sees a one-year deal around $4-5 million as a reasonable option for the team.
Ruud has played his whole career for Tampa Bay and is more than familiar with the teams defensive scheme, plus he gives them some veteran leadership on the defensive side of the ball. The Buccaneers are one of the youngest teams in the NFL so leadership is something of a premium for them.
If that doesn’t end up being the case, the Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants and Tennessee Titans could all be options for him.
