According to Biggs,ย Montgomery’s injury willย require surgery and lead to the Bears placing him on season-ending injured reserve at some point this week.

The Bears have lost Cย Will Montgomeryย to aย broken left fibula, according toย Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Montgomery wound up leaving the game with what appeared to be anย ankle injury after he was rolled up on from behind.ย Montgomery was later carted off the field to the locker room.
Montgomery, 32, signed a one-year, $950,000 contract that included $120,000 guaranteed with the Bears back in April.
Chicago moved Matt Slauson to center after Montgomery left and shifted Patrick Omameh to left guard.
It’s very likely that Chicago will placeย Montgomery on season-ending injured reserve in the coming days and add another lineman.
