Bears Hosting DB/KR Omar Bolden, Hoping To Leave Visit With A Deal In Place

According to Trey Renck of the Denver Post, free agent DB/KR Omar Bolden is visiting with the Bears on Thursday and hoping to leave the meeting with an agreement in place.

There has been talk for a few weeks now that the Bears and Bolden could eventually get a deal done, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune previously mentioned that the Bears were exploring options to at kick returner, and Bolden is clearly among the best available options and could also provide them with some depth at safety.

Bolden, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. He has played out his rookie contract with Denver and is now testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first.

In 2015, Bolden appeared in nine games and recorded five tackles while serving as their kick and punt returner. He accumulated 342 kick return yards and 123 punt return yards with one punt being returned for a touchdown.
