Bears Interested In Sidney Rice?

Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times tweets that the Chicago Bears will have interest in Vikings WR Sidney Rice but only if the price is right.

Considering that Bears should be sitting $37 million below the salary cap (NFL Team Cap Space), spending money on a position of need should be a bigger concern. Chicago will have to spend at the very least $25 million on re-signing players and free agents because the salary cap floor is reported to be $108 million. Why not allocate a portion of that money to player that can stretch the field and give you a huge target in the red zone?

I get that hip is a concern and spending a lot of money a skill positioned player will take up a good amount of your cap space but Rice is 26 and a physical weapon.

Yesterday we mentioned that the Seahawks are likely to have interest in Rice. They’ll also have the money to throw at him which sounds like one of his top priorities.
