The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday that they’ve officially placed RT Bobby Massie on injured reserve with a knee injury and promoted OT Lachavious Simmons to their active roster.
The Bear also signed OL Aaron Neary to their practice squad.
Hereโs the Bear updated practice squad:
- WR Rodney Adams
- QB Tyler Bray
- DB Xavier Crawford
- WR Reggie Davis
- WR Jesper Horsted
- WR Thomas Ives
- DT Lacale London
- T Badara Traore
- DE Ledarius Mack
- LB Devante Bond (Injured)
- G Dieter Eiselen
- RB Lamar Miller
- DT Daniel McCullers
- LB Manti Te’o
- DB Marqui Christian
- WR Dwayne Harris
- OL Aaron Neary
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.
Massie, 31, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Cardinals before agreeing to a three-year, $18 million contract with the Bears in 2016.
Massie was in line to be an unrestricted free agent last year when he agreed to a four-year extension worth over $32 million.
In 2020, Massie has appeared in eight games for the Bears, making eight starts at right tackle.
