The Chicago Bears announced Friday that they’ve placed TE Darion Clark on injured reserve.
Clark, 26, is a former basketball player who is attempting to make the transition to playing tight end in the NFL, as others have done.
Clark tried out for the Bears in December before eventually signing him to a futures deal a month later.
During his college career Charlotte, USC and Grand Canyon, Clark averaged 5.5 points per game and shot 46 percent from the field over the course of four seasons 110 games.
