Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Bears OT Jason Spriggs tested positive for COVID-19 and will be placed on the COVID-19 list along with G Germain Ifedi, who was determined to be a high-risk close contact.
According to Rapoport, Ifedti has a chance to be back and play on Sunday.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Spriggs, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He played out the final year of his four-year, $5.004 million contract and made a base salary of $1.13 million for the 2019 season.
Unfortunately, Spriggs spent the 2019 season on injured reserve after he was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason. He signed on with the Bears this past April.
In 2020, Spriggs has appeared in two games for the Bears.
