The Chicago Bears have re-signed long snapper Patrick Scales on Saturday, according to Adam Jahns.
Jahns adds that the deal should be official later on in the day.
Scales, 29, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Utah State back in 2011. He last just over a year in Baltimore before he was waived at the start of the 2012 season.
Since then, Scales has played for a number of teams including the Dolphins, Jets, and Buccaneers before signing a contract with the Bears during the 2015 season. Chicago elected to bring him back on shortly after releasing him at the start of last year.
In 2016, Scales appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded one tackle on special teams.
