According to Brad Biggs, the Chicago Bears have re-signed LS Patrick Scales to a one-year deal.
Scales played the entire season last year after recovering from a torn ACL suffered in the 2017 preseason.
Scales was set to be a restricted free agent, but the Bears did not tender him at the original round tender worth $2.025 million.
Scales, 31, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Utah State back in 2011. He last just over a year in Baltimore before he was waived at the start of the 2012 season.
Since then, Scales has played for a number of teams including the Dolphins, Jets, and Buccaneers before signing a contract with the Bears during the 2015 season.
In 2018, Scales appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded two tackles on special teams.
