The Chicago Bears announced Friday that they’ve re-signed S DeAndre Houston-Carson to a one-year contract.
Houston-Carson, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bears back in 2016. He was waived in 2017 and later signed to the Bears’ practice squad before being promoted to their active roster soon after.
Houston-Carson was set to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but Chicago declined to tender him a restricted offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.
In 2018, Houston-Carson appeared in 13 games for the Bears and recorded eight tackles, no sacks or interceptions and a fumble recovery.
