Bears Release QB Josh Woodrum From Practice Squad

The Chicago Bears announced that they’ve released QB Josh Woodrum from their practice squad to make room for WR Bralon Addison.

The Bears’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. LB Ronald Powell
  2. TE Rory Anderson (injured)
  3. RB David Cobb
  4. DB Jacoby Glenn
  5. OT Williams Poehls
  6. G Cyril Richardson
  7. WR Dres Anderson
  8. OT Lawrence Okoye
  9. DE Jimmy Staten
  10. TE Justin Perillo
  11. WR Bralon Addison

Woodrum, 23, signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Liberty but was unfortunately waived after the team signed QB B.J. Daniels to their roster.

The Colts signed him to a contract back in May but cut him loose a few months later. It wasn’t until November that he got another opportunity by signing on to the Bears’ practice squad.

During his four-year college career at Liberty, Woodrum threw for 10,266 yards while completing 63.9 percent of his passes to go along with 61 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. He also contributed 228 yards rushing and 16 rushing touchdowns.
