Bears Release TE Dorian Clark

The Chicago Bears announced Sunday that the’ve released TE Darion Clark.

Clark, 27, is a former basketball player who is attempting to make the transition to playing tight end in the NFL, as others have done.

Clark tried out for the Bears in December of 2019 before eventually signing him to a futures deal a month later. Chicago waived him with an injury designation last year and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. 

During his college career Charlotte, USC and Grand Canyon, Clark averaged 5.5 points per game and shot 46 percent from the field over the course of four seasons 110 games.
