Rookie running back Harvey Unga was placed on injured reserve on Thursday because of a hamstring injury, ending his season. Unga was thought to be making strides in the early part of training camp and there was even mention that he may be over taking Garrett Wolfe for the No. 3 spot.
At least the Bears were not counting on him to carry the load this season given that they should have a good running tandem in Matt Forte and Chester Taylor. This will end up going down as a red shirt year for young back.
