Bears Shopping RB Jordan Howard In Trade Talks

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Bears are shopping RB Jordan Howard in trade talks at the Scouting Combine.

Howard’s name came up as a potential trade candidate last year, but the Bears elected to hold onto him.

There are questions about Howard’s overall fit in HC Matt Nagy’s offensive system, which is why it’s not all that surprising to hear that the Bears have made him available.

Howard, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bears back in 2016. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $2.588 million contract set to make a base salary of $720,000 for the 2019 season.

In 2018, Howard appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and rushed for 935 yards on 250 carries (3.7 YPC) and nine touchdowns. He also caught 20 passes for 145 yards receiving.
