Edwards, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Titans back in 2013. Tennessee later traded him to the Cowboys for aย conditional seventh round pick.ย Edwards wound up making the 53-man roster last year, but was later placed on waivers in October before ending up on their practice squad.
Dallas later elected to sign him to a future/reserve contract in January. However, he was waived yesterday after they traded for RB Christine Michael.ย
Oakland claimed Edwardsย off of waivers from the Cowboysย in recent weeks,ย but wound up waiving himย to make room for OLB Aldon Smith, who signed a one-year deal with the team.
In 2014, Edwards appeared in just four games and recorded only a single tackle.
