Bears Signing CB Buster Skrine To Three-Year, $16.5M Deal

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Bears are signing CB Buster Skrine to a contract on Monday. 

Ian Rapoport adds that Skrine to a three-year contract worth $16.5 million including $8.5 million guaranteed. 

Skrine, 29, is a former fifth-round pick by the Browns in the 2011 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year rookie contract with Cleveland and signed a four-year deal with the Jets in 2015. He finished his deal with New York and was entering the open market for the second time in his career. 

In 2018, Skrine appeared in all 14 games for the Jets and recorded 58 total tackles, four tackles for loss, no interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and eight pass defenses. Pro Football Focus ranks him as the No. 103 cornerback out of 112 players.
