The Chicago Bears placed DB Demontre Hurst on waivers Monday, according to Field Yates (per Jeff Dickerson).
Hurst, 24, re-signed with the Bears as an exclusive free agent back in February. However, he was waived a few weeks ago and later added to their practice squad.
Chicago later elected to promote him to their active roster in recent weeks to bolster their cornerback depth.
This season, Hurst has appeared in three games for the Bears and recorded a single tackle.
For what it’s worth, Pro Football Focus had Hurst rated as the No. 51 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players in 2014.
