The Chicago Bears announced Saturday that they’ve promoted DL Brandon Dunn from the practice squad and placed DB Demontre Hurst waived.

Hurst, 24, re-signed with the Bears back in February on an exclusive rights deal that was worth $1.110 million and would have paid him base salaries of $510,000 and $600,000 over the next two years.
In 2014, Hurst recorded 40 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and a pass defense over the course of 15 games. Pro Football Focus has Hurst rated as the No. 51 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.
