The Chicago Bears have placed OL Cornelius Edison on waivers Monday, according to Zach Zaidman.
Edison, 23, originally signed on to the Bears’ practice squad during last season as an undrafted free agent out of Portland State. He was brought back on a future/reserve contract a few months later.
However, the Bears elected to cut Edison loose coming out of the preseason. Chicago later signed him to their practice squad right before the start of the regular season before promoting him to their active roster last week.
Edison has been on and off of the Bears’ active roster this season and has appeared in six games.
