Fales, 24, was taken in the sixth-round of last year’s NFL draft, even though the Bears said there was no way they would select a quarterback in the later rounds.
He has twoย years remaining on his four-year, $1.53 rookie contract, which includes base salaries ofย $510,000ย andย $600,000.
Fales was able to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, butย there’s a chance he could be added to the Bears practice squad in the coming days.
