Bears Waive QB David Fales, Cut FB Tony Fiammetta & DB Kelvin Hayden

Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Bears have placed rookie QB David Fales on waivers and cut FB Tony Fiammetta and DB Kelvin Hayden.

Fales was taken in the sixth round of this year’s NFL draft, but was clearly behind Jay Cutler and Jimmy Clausen on the team’s roster. We’ll have to see if he ends up on the team’s practice squad.

Hayden, 31, re-signed with the Bears back in February, but he was among the team’s final roster cuts a few weeks ago. Chicago brought him back in recent days.

Last year, he unfortunately suffered a season-ending hamstring tear that led to Chicago placing him on injured reserve. In 2012, Hayden appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and totaled 37 tackles and four fumble recoveries.
