Bears Worked Out Four Defensive Linemen Including D’Anthony Smith

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears brought in four defensive linemen for workouts on Tuesday including DeAngelo Tyson, Cliff Matthews, D’Anthony Smith and Greg Scruggs.

Biggs notes that the Bears are looking for defensive line help now that Will Sutton is expected to miss a short period of time with a left biceps injury.

Smith, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2010. He was later traded to the Seahawks for a conditional draft pick that never met the required conditions.

After that, Smith briefly played for the Lions in 2013 before re-joining the Seahawks just one month later. Smith wound up being among the Seahawks’ final roster cuts a month ago.

Since entering the league, Smith has appeared in a total of 10 games and recorded 15 total tackles.
