Impending free agent S Dashon Goldson recently expressed interest with signing with the Bengals should he not return to the 49ers for another season.
“They’ve got a good football team down there.” Goldson said of the Bengals, via the Cincinnati Enquirer. “They’re on track and they’ve got a good quarterback and receivers. I will have to consider all my options and we’ll have to see whose interested in me.”
Goldson, 28, added that he’s familiar with their team given that he’s played with Reggie Nelson, Nate Clements, Taylor Mays and LB Manny Lawson in the past.
Goldson mentioned that he would like to return to San Francisco next season, but added that “there has not been much talk” regarding an extension.
He’s set to become an unrestricted free agent for the third time in as many seasons. Goldson represents the safety in this year’s free agent market and we have him currently listed as the No. 7 best available player in our Top 50 NFL Free Agents List.
