The Cincinnati Bengals announced Saturday that they’ve placed rookie DT Renell Wren on injured reserve after he was hurt in Wednesday’s practice and promoted DE Freedom Akinmoladun to their active roster.

Wren, 24, was selected in the fourth round of this year’s NFL draft by the Bengals. He signed a four-year, $3,202,596 contract and stands to make base salaries of $585,000 and $675,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2019, Wren appeared in 11 games for the Bengals and recorded eight tackles and no sacks.
