Bengals Place OL T.J. Johnson On IR, Promote HB Jarveon Williams From PS

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they have placed OL T.J. Johnson on injured reserve, and promoted HB Jarveon Williams from their practice squad in a corresponding roster move.

Johnson, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He was waived coming out of the preseason during his rookie season, but was added to their practice squad and returned on a future/reserve contract in 2014.

The Bengals brought him back on a one-year contract last year and used an original-round tender on him. Cincinnati re-signed him to a two-year, $1.62 million contract back in March and is set to earn a base salary of $1.3 million this season.

In 2017, Johnson has appeared in 13 games for the Bengals.
