Johnson, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He was waived coming out of the preseason during his rookie season, but was added to their practice squad and returned on a future/reserve contract in 2014.
The Bengals brought him back on a one-year contract last year and used an original-round tender on him. Cincinnati re-signed him to a two-year, $1.62 million contract back in March and is set to earn a base salary of $1.3 million this season.
In 2017, Johnson has appeared in 13 games for the Bengals.
